What better to start the official posts of this blog than with something that almost anyone can try out (yeah, not only coders, your eyes are’nt fooling you). The app I’m speaking off came with Tiger. The app is part of the developer tools, so if you have’nt installed them, do it now, it will only take you a few minutes and the fun you will have is at least worth that much. After you’ve installed the developer tools from the Tiger DVD, open the folder (yourmaindisk) -> developer -> applications -> graphics tools. In there you will find the application “Quartz Composer”.
Now you could read the official documentations or you could just download some quartz compositions and have fun with them as that’s what this is all about, having fun!
Additionally have a look at the quartz compositions of Futurismo Zugakousaku, he has them linked as quicktime movies, so you can have a look at them without installing Quartz Composer (yeah, this is for the super lazy under us).
