Last year ZDnet declared Apple dead, just one of many instances where someone declared Apple as dead or soon to be dead. Recently some people again declared Apple as soon to be dead because they think the iPod will soon have reached market saturation and that without the iPods huge success, Apple would soon die, finaly.

Finaly? Today, Apple released their third quarter results and they are great, actualy they are the best they ever posted! 35 percent growth in Macs and 616 percent growth in iPods and a quarterly profit of $320 million sure are impressive numbers for a soon to be dead company.

You can be sure that in a few months someone will again call Apple a soon to be dead company, but till than we will enjoy our life as Mac users and developers in the know that it won’t be the last time. Why? Because it’s good to be dead!
