If we’re talking about software and the internet, socialism and communism (Bill Gates name for open source) is’nt really a bad thing, actualy it is a really good thing, so don’t run away scared. One of the most popular social web services is del.icio.us. The service let’s you share your bookmarks with the rest of the world and beside the social aspect, your bookmarks are stored online, so you can access them from wherever you like without having to sync your bookmarks between all your machines and browsers all the time.
Now as you could guess, I would’nt mention the service without some nice little Mac apps that integrate the service into your favorite OS. The first application you should have a look at is Cocoalicious. Cocoalicious let’s you view, search and save your del.icio.us bookmarks in a very clear and simple way. A smaller and a bit less functional app is Delibar. Delibar let’s you browse and save your bookmarks from the system-bar, so it’s never far away. And last but not least there’s a dashboard widget by the name dashLicious. The widget automaticaly populates the url and description fields, so you don’t have to copy & paste each link you’ve found into the widget.
