the mac browser wars

Safari, Firefox, Opera or maybe a new contender? Is there a browser that surpasses the whole competition in usability, speed and page-rendering accuracy? Currently the answer to this question can only be no. All the top browsers have their own advantages without missing to shine with the fundamentals. So what are the different browsers specialties that would make it your personal winner? Let’s have a short look at the big free, Firefox, Opera, Safari and a newcomer based on the WebKit with the name Shiira.

Safari: Safari from Apple comes pre-installed with your system. It’s a very solid browser with one big advantage, the integrated RSS reader. No other top browser handles RSS feed subscriptions as well as Safari, so if that’s what you need the most, than Safari will be your choice.

Firefox: Firefox is a very popular open source browser. The biggest advantage of this browser are the extensions and the huge community developing them. For much everything you desire there’s already an extension that does what you need.

Opera: Opera is a very feature rich and fast browser. It does a lot of things very well without the need to install additional plugins or extensions. Like with the above two browsers, you can use it for free, but if you don’t want their banners displayed on the UI you have to pay a small fee.

Shiira: Shiira is a relatively new browser based on the WebKit with a very clean UI. If you need a userfriendly and stable browser without an endless list of additional features, than this could be the browser for you.

Of course the above list is’nt nearly complete, there are some really nice newcomers with some very interesting features. If you have some free time to try them out, than have a look at this list of Mac browsers. Additionaly have a look at this browser comparision at Wikipedia, just have in mind that they list PC browsers as well.

To gain maximum knowledge of the network world, go for some online courses like N10-003 and SY0-101. You will easily be able to play with the wireless cable concept. It will not be hard to install a computer software without any instructions. Not only this, you will also be able to work on a remote pc software. Sounds too good? Bet it is!
