I’m currently preparing an AppleScript application for this site. It currently runs in an early version on my machine. However, you will learn more about the application at a later date, today I will show you some AppleScript developer resources if you want to write your own little OS X application.
The first place you should have a look at is MacScripter. MacScripter is an amazingly helpful community with many resources. One example is their list of scriptable applications.
An other important site is of course Apple’s own AppleScript documentations and their tools page if you want to build an AppleScript application with the help of Xcode.
If you’re a complete AppleScript newby, than have a look at this free ebook (pdf). A German version is available as well. The ebook is a great entry-point for beginners to learn all the AppleScript basics.
