Some think that content extractors are evil because they can be used by hackers and content thefts, but at the same time such tools can really save your life if you need to get content out of a damaged file or out of a file where you don’t have access to the application that originally created the file. So however you think about it, this kind of applications have their legal uses and for that they should be available.
One of them is File Juicer. The application can currently extract the following content embedded in a file:
JPEG, PNG, GIF, PDF, BMP, WMF, EMF, PICT, TIFF, Flash, Zip, HTML, WAV, MP3, AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, MP4, AU, AIFF and normal text.
The app can extract content out of many different filetypes. For example you could extract images from a PowerPoint slideshow, a Word document or a PDF or you could extract a swf from an exe file. Whatever you need to do with it, the application is very easy to use and can definitely save your life in such situations.
