Journler could be an application from Apple. It has a clean and almost perfect GUI, is fully integrated into other OS X services like iTunes or iPhoto and completely free. Journler as the name suggests is an application to write down your daily thoughts and to organize your personal information. The cool thing is that you’re not limited to text, you can add all the other media on your system to your journal entries as well.

An example: Let’s say you have a new idea for a multimedia project. You start to write down your initial thoughts. At the same time you’re listening to music with iTunes and one of the songs got your attention, maybe the perfect song for the project? No problem, the app let’s you store a reference to the song inside your text. When you’ve started working on the project, just add the project folder to your journal entry so everything is at it’s place. If you discuss the project on an online message board, just drag the link of the thread into your journal entry and a clickable link will be added. I could go on and on like this, the app really let’s you connect all your thoughts with all the realted media.

The good thing is that with all those possibilities, if you know how to use OS X (and I’m sure you do), then you’ll be able to use this app without ever reading any manuals, just write an entry, drag and drop some files into the entry and you will know the rest.
