Death to typos!

typo corrections

Are you one of those that make the same annoying typos all the time? I’m one of them. Not only is English only my fourth language, there are some words where I just don’t seem to be able to get them right. For example the word “answer”, I normally write “anwser” or even “awnser”, but that doesnt have to be the case anymore. From now on I let my Mac take care of it.

Now how do I do it? There’s an application by the name Textpander that can watch and correct what I type. Anytime I spellckecke a text, I add all the words I’ve misspelled to Texpander and the next time I write that word wrong, the app automaticaly takes care of it. I don’t even think I get lazy this way as I still notice whenever the app takes care of something.

The app isn’t limited to just typos, you can use it for various other tasks where you have to automatically replace something. For example if you’re using a message board without signatures, than just add a shortcut to the app that replaces your signatures and it takes care of it.

Obviously you don’t have this functionality in whatever you use to compose blog entries :)
