A fast and efficient BitTorrent client

BitTorrent

I just wasn’t happy anymore with the official BitTorrent client, so I had a look at some alternatives today. What I was searching was a client that works more efficient, one where you’re still able to surf the web without to many slowdowns and one that didn’t suck CPU cycles like there’s no tomorrow while still being able to reach high download rates. What I found was a client with the name Transmission. While Transmission is still early in development (v. 0.1), it beats the official client with ease. I’ve only tested the app for a few hours, but from what I’ve seen, it’s definitely much better than the official client.

Btw, if you’re interested to know how BitTorrent works, have a look at this Howstuffworks article.

    I recommend Azareus and Shareaza

Shareaza isn’t available for OS X. Azareus is a great client, but not as CPU/bandwidth friendly as Transmission from my experience. However, if you need the features of Azareus, than Transmission will of course not be an option.

Whats the latest on the world of Bit torrent and P2P? Are they still banning copyrighted movies?

To gain maximum knowledge of the network world, go for some online courses like N10-003 and SY0-101. You will easily be able to play with the wireless cable concept. It will not be hard to install a computer software without any instructions. Not only this, you will also be able to work on a remote pc software. Sounds too good? Bet it is!
