The last blogging meme by Om Malik about the top 10 OS X apps was really useful, but these days web services have become very important as well, so there should definitely be a meme about those browser based applications as well. Here are the rules: Post your favorite web services on your own blog and send a trackback to this post you’re currently reading. If your blog can’t send trackbacks, just add a link to your post as a comment to this post. If you don’t have a blog, add your favorites as a comment. One last rule: Only post web services that are free or at least partially free and they have to work on a Mac, so don’t post IE optimized web services. Here are my own favs:
Google: There really doesn’t have to be said much about Google. It’s not only the most popular search engine, their other services, like Gmail, Blog Search, Maps, News, Scholar, Froogle … make Google the number one web service provider on the web.
Sourceforge: The number one development and download repository of open source projects on the web. Without them, open source development wouldn’t be nearly as organized.
Flickr: Great and very popular service to share your photos with your family, friends and everyone else on the web.
del.icio.us: This service really made social bookmarking popular, very useful for both, storing bookmarks and finding great new ones.
YubNub: I really love this service. YubNub, the social command line for the web really made my search field so much more useful.
StumbleUpon: Bored? Can’t find anything new, interesting or fun on the web? Than give this Firefox Extension / Web Service combo a try. It’s a social democracy of the web that helps you find links you like.
BugMeNot: There are a lot of sites that only let you read their content if you give them your personal contact information by registering on their site. BugMeNot lets you easily bypass those web registrations.
Ourmedia: This service provides you with free storage and free bandwidth for your videos, audio files, photos, text or software. If you want to share your media with the rest of the world, this service is exactly what you need.
YouSendIt: Do you need to send something huge (up to 1GB) to your friend(s)? Here you can.
Wikipedia: The biggest free encyclopedia, written by a huge web community and permanently updated with the latest information.
So what are your favs?

Hi Fredi - Glad to hear you found YubNub useful for your search field.

Yeah, I really like it. However, a feature that would make YubNub even better would be personalized commands, so you can select the commands you like and than rename them to whatever you like.
