Better than FireTune? That’s hard to say, but it’s definitely fast. The extension automatically employs link prefetching (preloadeding of links on the page), network tweaking, enhanced pop-up blocking, along with simultaneous connections, pipe-lining, enhanced caching, DNS caching, and initial paint delaying to make FireFox so fast it can break servers (or at least hurt them). Btw, you can switch any of those options on or off in the “preferences”.
