Jon Lech Johansen and Michael Robertson are well known for their not so legal projects around the music and movie content industry. One for creating an app that allowed consumers to copy DVDs to their computers, the other made a software that removed restrictions on iTunes-purchased songs and for the mp3 download site mp3.com he later sold to Vivendi for $372 million. Now they both teamed up on an MP3tunes project with the codename “Oboe”. Nobody knows exactly what the project is, but it seams like Apple, iTunes and supporting products like the iPod and ROKR phone could be the new target.
