Social bookmarking sites became really popular this year. However, personally I think there’s still a lot of additional potential for future evolution. Now I know a lot of you have some really great ideas for such services, just not the skills or time to realize them on your own. Thx to Djoeke van de Klomp, Community Manager of blinklist.com, a community oriented social bookmarking site that has already implemented a lot of new ideas you don’t find at sites like del.icio.us that originally started this trend, there’s now a place to share your ideas, a social bookmarking survey with the idea to discover the key features missing from current social bookmarking services. Everyone that takes part will get a copy of the final survey results, so in case you already work on a similar project, everyone can take advantage of this community effort and of course blinklist will do their best to implement your most useful ideas into their own social bookmarking project.
At the end everyone will be able to profit from this, especially the users of such services. With Flock there’s already an upcoming browser to take direct advantage of social bookmarking and with Yahoo, one of the really big web companies out there, I’m sure even the general web user has started to take notice.
