Wikis are cool. However, if you want to setup a wiki on your own machine, for example for your companies internal network, then you already need a lot of knowledge of how to setup a web server and how to install the wiki web application on it. That’s not that much of a problem for us geeks, but for a small company without an UNIX pro, this normally just doesn’t work out that well, at least till now!
With MoinX even an OS X user with zero Unix skills can setup such a wiki in only a few seconds, promised. Installing MoinX is as easy as download a disk image, move the app to the application folder, double click the app icon and the wiki works! It just couldn’t be made easier.
The wiki itself is a full featured and unmodified MoinMoin. The app uses a very fast web server called Twisted to run the wiki. Not that you’ll ever have to directly admin those two at all, just let MoinX do the job for you.
