There are many ways too logically organize information and ideas, the simplest way would be to use a text editor or a piece of paper and just write them down. Now of course the simplest way is not always the best way, sometimes to get the best results you just have to go along a path that isn’t as simple. One such case is if you have to lay down highly structured information in a comprehensible way. Maybe the best technique for such situations is drawing a mind map. Mind maps are pictorial representation of how a central concept is linked to other concepts and issues. The technique is extremely old, but that doesn’t mean it is outdated, not at all.
Definitely one of the best mind map applications for the Mac is FreeMind. As the name suggests, the app is free (open source). Now before you download the app, as I’ve mentioned above, mind map applications normally aren’t as simple to use as text editors, so read the documentations first and give you some time to get used to the app and the concept of drawing a mind map.
