Snow on your desktop

I don’t like cold weather, it’s even to the point that I think about moving to a country like Costa Rica because of it, especially now as scientists have predicted that average temperatures in Europe could fall by 4°C the next years. However, what I really like is falling snow and as much a geek as I am, I let it snow on my desktop with a small app called Snö.

Snö is freeware, OpenSource, non-copyrighted, old and totally unsupported … it even manages to crash other applications once in a while, but beside that, it has a similar relaxing effect as real snow and that alone makes it worth the hassle. Of course it works best on a winter themed desktop image, but personally I prefer to let it snow over a tropical island … as unrealistic as that may be.

Where are you in Costa Rica? San José? I may need a contact person over there as I plan to come with a project. I can’t tell you much more right now, but it will be something to look forward to for all open source devs over there.

To gain maximum knowledge of the network world, go for some online courses like N10-003 and SY0-101. You will easily be able to play with the wireless cable concept. It will not be hard to install a computer software without any instructions. Not only this, you will also be able to work on a remote pc software. Sounds too good? Bet it is!
