A Spanish copy of Digg, which looks almost identical to the original, is now available as an open-source download. The site is in Spanish, so translate it or click the following link on their site (in the 3rd paragraph): “se puede bajar de aquÖ.” Here’s the direct download link, but check the site in case they release an updated version.
The script is written in PHP and JavaScript using a mySQL database. Here are some provisional installation instructions for everyone that can’t figure it out on their own. There’s a lot of Spanish text in the source and no language file, so let’s hope someone releases a translated version in the coming days, I’ll have you updated if I discover one. Oh and if someone starts a Mac only site using this script, please let me know.
